Bob Geldof was born in Ireland in 1951. he was educated at a private Catholic school which he didn't enjoy. Leaving school he then decided to get jobs, but to him, they were not inspiring. He then went to Canada and work as a music journalist.
Live aid song:
"We Are the Champions" was built on audience response following a concert at Bingley Hall, Stafford in which the audience sang "You'll Never Walk Alone" to the band. It embodies numerous elements of arena rock, with Brian May stating, "We wanted to get the crowds waving and singing. So when they sang in the live aid it says we need to walk with the people in Africa.
We are the champions, my friends
And we'll keep on fighting till the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers 'Cause we are the champions of the World.
I think that one person could start a similar concert in 2021 because we could people are still in poverty and that they will need some help.
Musicians today are still affecting and still changing the world people still look up to people like Queen, and more musicians that are still alive and still trying to make the world better.
Hi Lincoln, Tobey her.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great piece of work and you have added heaps on the background of the concert and why it was made.
Next time you could tell us more information on the song and what happened during the concert.
Great Job!
