What was the reaction of the German people to this event?
They forced the Jews to pay for the cost of the event and they would disown or depot them and even banned them from attending schools basically blaming the Jews.
Kristallnacht was being planned because of this document that had been written before the event (1:20 AM November 8th) which showed us what the officials can and can’t do. The event was then preplanned because of this. Here are some examples from the document.
“businesses and residences of jews may be damaged but not looted.”
“Non-Jewish businesses are to be protected from damage under all circumstances.”
“Officials are to arrest as many jews especially wealthy ones.”
“For the time being, only healthy male Jews of not too advanced age are to be arrested.”
This shows how the Jews weren’t getting anything fair on what they can’t do and can do. As a result of this, they had to cause the events of the Kristallnacht to happen.

The Jews had lost their right to vote so that they couldn’t have a voice in what they wanted to happen.
Jewish people would not be admitted to municipal hospitals in Düsseldorf so they could not get help for free or at low prices.

They were expelled from the army and the Jewish university students were not allowed to sit for doctoral exams.

If a New Zealand government passed a law that provided for different treatment of a named racial group in New Zealand, what do you think the reaction of most New Zealand people would be? Why do you think this might be the case? (Applying)
New Zealand would not support racist laws or anything like that and not approve of this because New Zealand has many different cultures. Which makes NZ was of the countries that will accept all races. Except we do have some discrimination laws but some of them accept them and live by them.

Why was Germany hit the hardest during the depression?
Germany was one of the countries that were hit the hardest because of the great depression. The great depression is an economic depression in the 1930s and took place in the US. Germany was hit the hardest because they were forced to spend millions for reparations, which had caused their economy to crash. This had happened since Germany was then forced to sign the Treaty of Versailles and since they had become responsible for the cost of material that has caused Germany’s economy to collapse. As a result of the wall street crash in the US, Germany had to pay the loans they borrowed from the US. Forcing them to spend about billions of dollars and that there was huge unemployment in Germany of 67% while the US was about 57%. Germany couldn’t pay for the loans because Germany was in an economic disaster and when they told the US, unfortunately, they thought that Germany was bluffing so they sent 60,000 soldiers to their land.
Why did Germany have to agree to sign the Treaty of Versailles?
Germany was forced to sign the Treaty of Versailles. The Treaty of Versailles was signed between The Ally forces and Germany in 1919 after World War 1. The Treaty of Versailles held Germany responsible for starting the war and imposed harsh penalties in terms of loss of territory, massive reparations payments (rounding up to $132 billion) and demilitarization. This was to make peace and if Germany didn’t sign it, The Allies would probably be a huge threat to them or would try and convince them to sign it. If they hadn’t, Germany would’ve lost anyway since they had already lost about 6 million soldiers and artillery etc in World War 1. Germany complained bitterly, but The Allies did not take any notice of their complaints. Germany had very little choice but to sign the Treaty As a result of this Germany had to accept the guilt for starting the war.
How was New Zealand affected by the depression?
In New Zealand, the effects of the great depression weren’t very apparent. But at a certain amount of time, it had started affecting them. The export prices had begun to plummet falling by 45% at around 1933. This had become devastating since that we are very dependent on agricultural exports. A series of unemployed riots rocked Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch in the first six months of 1932. The government tried to ease Depression conditions through unemployment relief schemes, which often required men to travel long distances for small pay.
Who is Green Peace?
Green Peace is a global organization that uses peaceful protest and creative communication to expose global environmental problems which was founded in 1971 Vancouver, Canada. Greenpeace also uses non-violent creative action to pave the way towards a greener, more peaceful world, and to confront the systems that threaten our environment. They do this because they defend the natural world and promote peace by investigating, exposing, and confronting environmental abuse, championing environmentally responsible solutions, and advocating for the rights and well-being of all people. 1991: After lobbying by Greenpeace and other organizations, the 39 Antarctic Treaty signatories agree to a 50-year ban of mineral exploitation on the continent.
2011: After the release of Greenpeace’s Dirty Laundry report, major clothing brands commit to eliminate discharges of hazardous chemicals from across their entire supply chains and products within 10 years.
2016: After decades of campaign work, 85% of the forested area of the Great Bear Rainforest in B.C. is protected from industrial logging.
2016: After three years of tireless legal action, Clyde River Inuit with the support of Greenpeace Canada stopped seismic blasting a dangerous oil exploration project that threatens the Canadian Arctic.
2017: After more than five years of campaigning by Greenpeace, community groups, allies and environmental organizations, TransCanada cancels the Energy East tar sands pipeline.

What are they doing now to protect our oceans?
They made a petition to Jacinda Ardern about taking action on the ocean.
"Dear PM Jacinda Ardern, I call on you to support the creation of ocean sanctuaries across the planet, and for NZ to back the strongest Global Ocean Treaty at the UN to enable this."
The way they do anything out of the way to try and convince people while also being peaceful and non harming shows us that they are committed and the amount of human errors the have occured to this organization.
