Can Ecotourism save the Ocean

What is ecotourism?

Ecotourism is tourism responsible for sustaining the environment. They target the most critical/harmed places to help the most in need.

Why is it a growing trend?

 Ecotourism as a Tool to Increase the Ecological Concerns of Locals. This means ecotourism is a valuable way of creating positive changes for the planet, in this specific case in marine conservation. It is mainly because of keeping our planet healthy with also touring across the planet while having to clean is a smart idea going through the most impacted parts of the planet while also touring the planet.

How can Tourism help our ocean?

Ecotourism allows countries and communities to build their economies without harming the environment, which means that local wildlife can thrive and visitors can enjoy untouched destinations.

Pros and cons of Overfishing

Overfishing and commercial fishing will have a negative effect on the ocean. This matters because if we continue to do this it'll make the marine life crash down or make one of the advanced species overpopulate leaving them to have no more food to eat, which also makes the ocean more of an unsafe place for us. Another way this could be a problem is that this will disrupt food chains because taking much fish from the ocean has a huge impact on the oceans food chains it's mainly focusing on the top predators and if the smaller fish get wiped out the predators will have nothing to eat which then results in them into starving. Overfishing WILL become a problem if this continues, if something doesn't change it will have a huge impact on our ocean and especially the planet.

I played with Chris and Tobey and it was fair. Chris won 2 - 1 with Tobey and I only played once because I didn't really want to play. 

Second, we played knots and crosses

ME and Tobey Tied while Chris lost once that's what basically happened

Third, we played operation

Chris was the most precise out of me and Tobey because we all got spazzy hands.

We learned that games could be competitive and that it's fun for us to play with friends or family. We were determined and playing games for us was fun.

Is sustainable fishing even possible?

Yes, sustainable fishing could be possible but governments won't be willing to even take part in it because they are too busy with their most effective fishing vessels which can kill most of the ocean.

How is commercial fishing a threat to dolphins and birdlife (bycatch)?

It's because of their high-quality fishing vessels that are really effective and take out dolphins when they go by or wipe out the fish in the ocean which then resulting in the dolphins and sea birds hunger. 

Corrosion

 Aim: To investigate the factors that cause rusting in iron.

Method:

1. Label four test tubes. A - F and place in a test tube rack.

2. Test tube contents.

A = Iron nail and tap water

B = iron nail and oil

C = Iron nail and Nail Polish

D = Iron nail and salty water

E = Iron nail and calcium chloride sealed with a bung

F = Iron nail warped in aluminium.

3. Leave the test tubes undisturbed for at least three days.

Results: 

Discussion: 

An iron nail will corrode if it comes into contact with the environment and it would corrode quicker if it is in contact of water or salt this is why water and salt have the most rust. This can be stopped by blocking oxygen to the iron nail paint, grease or plastic will do to achieve this or you can coat it in other reactive metals such as zinc which are called galvanised.

Conclusion:

To make something rust it must be in the environment to do so that is why water has created the most rust while calcium chloride became the slowest and less reactive rust.
