This entrepreneur is about Paul Beckett and how he was inspired. Blokart® was invented in 1999 by New Zealander Paul Beckett. A background in hang gliding and land sailing inspired Paul to build a serious wind-powered toy that was fun, fast and compact. From small beginnings tinkering in a Papamoa, NZ garage to nearly two decades of watching a backyard passion evolve into a global sport, the Blokart community now extends all over the world. In My Opinion, the fact that they even stated that it has exceeded expectations shows luck and tons of trials and the human errors that come to this industry, and the reason why he started a business is that he was inspired by hang gliding and land sailing which then he, of course, was in it for his hobbies and for money because he loved what he was passionate about.

Who is Green Peace?

Green Peace is a global organization that uses peaceful protest and creative communication to expose global environmental problems which was founded in 1971 Vancouver, Canada. Greenpeace also uses non-violent creative action to pave the way towards a greener, more peaceful world, and to confront the systems that threaten our environment. What have they done to make a positive change?

1972: After the first Greenpeace action in 1971, the U.S. abandons nuclear testing grounds at Amchitka Island, Alaska. 

1982: After at sea actions against industrial whalers, a whaling moratorium is adopted by the International Whaling Commission 

1991: After lobbying by Greenpeace and other organizations, the 39 Antarctic Treaty signatories agree to a 50-year ban of mineral exploitation on the continent. 

2011: After the release of Greenpeace’s Dirty Laundry report, major clothing brands commit to eliminate discharges of hazardous chemicals from across their entire supply chains and products within 10 years. 

2016: After decades of campaign work, 85% of the forested area of the Great Bear Rainforest in B.C. is protected from industrial logging. 

2016: After three years of tireless legal action, Clyde River Inuit  with the support of Greenpeace Canada  stopped seismic blasting  a dangerous oil exploration project that threatens the Canadian Arctic. 

2017: After more than five years of campaigning by Greenpeace, community groups, allies and environmental organizations, TransCanada cancels the Energy East tar sands pipeline.

What are they doing now to protect our oceans?

They made a petition to Jacinda Ardern about taking action on the ocean.

"Dear PM Jacinda Ardern, I call on you to support the creation of ocean sanctuaries across the planet, and for NZ to back the strongest Global Ocean Treaty at the UN to enable this."

The way they do anything out of the way to try and convince people while also being peaceful and non harming shows us that they are committed and the amount of human errors the have occured to this organization.

Can Ecotourism save the Ocean

What is ecotourism?

Ecotourism is tourism responsible for sustaining the environment. They target the most critical/harmed places to help the most in need.

Why is it a growing trend?

 Ecotourism as a Tool to Increase the Ecological Concerns of Locals. This means ecotourism is a valuable way of creating positive changes for the planet, in this specific case in marine conservation. It is mainly because of keeping our planet healthy with also touring across the planet while having to clean is a smart idea going through the most impacted parts of the planet while also touring the planet.

How can Tourism help our ocean?

Ecotourism allows countries and communities to build their economies without harming the environment, which means that local wildlife can thrive and visitors can enjoy untouched destinations.

Pros and cons of Overfishing

Overfishing and commercial fishing will have a negative effect on the ocean. This matters because if we continue to do this it'll make the marine life crash down or make one of the advanced species overpopulate leaving them to have no more food to eat, which also makes the ocean more of an unsafe place for us. Another way this could be a problem is that this will disrupt food chains because taking much fish from the ocean has a huge impact on the oceans food chains it's mainly focusing on the top predators and if the smaller fish get wiped out the predators will have nothing to eat which then results in them into starving. Overfishing WILL become a problem if this continues, if something doesn't change it will have a huge impact on our ocean and especially the planet.

 first, we played guess who

I played with Chris and Tobey and it was fair. Chris won 2 - 1 with Tobey and I only played once because I didn't really want to play. 

Second, we played knots and crosses

ME and Tobey Tied while Chris lost once that's what basically happened

Third, we played operation

Chris was the most precise out of me and Tobey because we all got spazzy hands.

We learned that games could be competitive and that it's fun for us to play with friends or family. We were determined and playing games for us was fun.
